One evaluation method

Use the same procurement checklist for every vendor.

  1. Name the requirement and its owner

Separate broad web filtering, classroom oversight, AI interaction policy, sensitive-data handling, reporting, and student safety. Decide whether the district needs a replacement, an additional control, or better configuration of an existing license.

  2. Identify the exact product and availability

Record the module, license, client version, release status, device, browser, provider route, account plan, and policy. A portfolio capability or roadmap announcement does not prove it is enabled in your account.

  3. Test each control and input path

Use synthetic data in approved test accounts. Record allowed and restricted prompts, redaction, guidance, alerts, files, images, voice, and response handling separately. Establish what reached the provider. Preserve sanitized evidence with a tested date and expected and actual result.

  4. Assign a status with a boundary

Supported: the exact requirement passed with evidence. Limited: only a named subset passed. Unsupported: outside product coverage or established as unsupported. Unverified: sufficient evidence is missing. Apply the same bar to Tenet.

  5. Review data handling and joint operation

Identify who can access content, what leaves the device, storage destinations, retention, deletion, and human escalation. Test the final combination of clients so a policy conflict does not allow a prohibited request or prevent permitted classroom work.

  6. Compare the complete cost

Request current written quotes covering the same student count, modules, support, storage, implementation, and contract term. Account for what is already included in existing licenses. Choose based on the requirements demonstrated by the final configuration.

Inspect Tenet's versioned capability evidence, review its data-handling architecture, or use the AI governance buyer's guide for a broader evaluation.
