Student-data DLP and teacher-specific AI rules
Tenet vs Securly
Protect student information in the AI conversation.
An allowed topic can still contain a student's private information. Tenet adds on-device data loss prevention (DLP) to supported AI use, with policy options to warn, redact supported identifiers, or stop a send. Tenet District adds roster-aware context and pseudonymization where supported, alongside rules shaped by the class, teacher, and lesson.
Your words become AI guardrails.
Set the rules in plain English. Tenet brings your policy and DLP into the AI tools your district approves.
“Give hints and explain the reasoning. Let the student write the final answer.”

Why Tenet
AI governance built around your district.
DLP that acts before the send
Tenet checks supported content locally and applies the district's DLP response: warn, redact supported identifiers, or stop submission. Routine prompts, raw file contents, and real-to-pseudonym mappings are not sent to TrueMadeAI's backend for ordinary on-device DLP.
Give teachers a role in AI policy
Tenet District adds class, teacher, subject, period, and schedule context. Shape how AI is used for the lesson while keeping the district's rules as the foundation.
Roster-aware protection
Tenet District can use roster context and pseudonymization on supported paths. Replace supported identifiers while preserving useful context for the task. Free Tenet Basic includes DLP with a district-wide baseline.
The same topic can serve very different lessons.
Example policy: an English class allows critique of a student's own paragraph, while an assessment restricts AI assistance. The subject may be the same; the intended assistance is different. Make that teaching decision the focus of a Tenet District demonstration.

Warn. Redact. Stop the send.
An approved AI tool still needs rules for student information. Tenet's on-device DLP applies your district's decision before supported content is submitted.
Warn before sharing
Give users a chance to address sensitive information before they send it, with DLP warnings governed by your district's policy.
Redact personal identifiers
Replace supported identifiers with tokens or session pseudonyms. Tenet District adds roster-aware context to strengthen protection of student information.
Stop prohibited submissions
Stop a send when Tenet's DLP checks trigger your district's block policy. Keep the approved AI tool available for appropriate work.
Included in free Tenet Basic and Tenet District. Ordinary on-device DLP does not send raw prompts, raw file contents, or real-to-pseudonym mappings to TrueMadeAI's backend. Sanitized operational metadata can leave the device. Actions vary by policy, role, surface, and content type; files, images, and voice have separate coverage boundaries.

About this comparison
This page distinguishes Securly Filter, its advertised AI features, and Securly Aware. A Securly-managed chat experience and direct use of ChatGPT or Gemini are separate workflows. Tenet covers direct AI use on managed Chrome.
Availability: Securly's AI page says its AI features are available for Filter users and identifies Aware for safety alerts. Ask the vendor to confirm the account, device, AI surface, and licensing requirements for your deployment. This review did not test a Securly tenant. Read the dated sources.
This comparison uses public product documentation, not a head-to-head lab test. Check Tenet's capability matrix for coverage and test results. Live vendor control results in the current register remain unverified.

| Data loss prevention (DLP) | Securly's reviewed pages describe topic filtering and prompt visibility. Those descriptions do not establish equivalent local identifier redaction or roster-aware pseudonymization; request a feature-specific demonstration. | Privacy evaluation | Prompt visibility is an advertised capability. Ask what is collected, where it is processed, who can read it, and how long it is retained. [2] | Process sensitive content locally. Routine prompts and responses are not sent to TrueMadeAI servers; the backend handles configuration and sanitized operational metadata. Learn more |
| Safety workflow | Securly identifies Aware as the companion service for safety alerts from AI activity. [2] | Forward AI-vendor crisis-response signals to designated district staff for human review and response. Learn more |
The case for Tenet
Why choose Tenet?
Your AI rules need classroom detail
Give teachers AI rules that reflect the class, lesson, and schedule. Tenet District connects that classroom context to your district policy.
You need DLP inside approved AI tools
Use Tenet to apply a district DLP decision before supported content reaches the AI provider. Make redaction, roster-aware pseudonymization, and local processing part of your demonstration, alongside the classroom rules you want to enforce.
You want a rollout built around your setup
A Tenet pilot can include the Securly configuration your district already uses. Validate both clients together, resolve policy conflicts, and agree on exception ownership before a wider rollout.
Start with DLP and one district-wide policy, free. Tenet Basic includes both on supported paths. Move to Tenet District for classroom, roster, teacher, and schedule context. Compare Tenet plans.

Put Tenet to work in a pilot.
Run a three-configuration test
In an isolated test organizational unit, compare Securly alone, Tenet alone, and both enabled. Use the same approved test account, synthetic prompts, exact AI route, and policy expectations. Do not relax production controls to run the comparison.
Check conflicting policy decisions
Test an allowed request, a request blocked by Securly, a request blocked by Tenet, and one both restrict. Record duplicate submissions, stale text, missing notices, and whether any prohibited request reaches the provider.
Keep chat paths separate
Record separate results for a managed chat interface and each direct provider site. Repeat for files, images, and voice where required; a typed-prompt result cannot qualify those paths.
Bring your classroom rules and approved AI tools. Use fictional data to see DLP, redaction, and policy decisions in action. Book your Tenet demo or get the pilot checklist.
Questions districts ask
How does Tenet protect student data in AI prompts?
Tenet's on-device DLP evaluates supported content before submission and applies the district's configured action, such as warning, redacting supported identifiers, or stopping a send. Both tiers include DLP; District adds roster-aware context and pseudonymization where supported.
Does Securly only block websites?
No. Securly Filter advertises topic-level AI policies and prompt insights, including third-party AI experiences. A fair evaluation should include those advertised controls and confirm their behavior in the district's account.
Can Tenet and Securly run together?
A joint deployment should be qualified on the exact client versions, provider route, account, and policies. This comparison does not certify universal compatibility. Test allowed and blocked requests with both clients enabled before rollout.
Would Tenet replace Securly Aware?
Do not assume equivalence. Evaluate the signal source, coverage, review process, escalation workflow, and staff responsibilities separately. Tenet's AI-vendor signal forwarding does not establish the same coverage as a broader safety service.
